What is iGmod?
iGmod is a program which attempts to replace the menus in iGuidance with new, more eye appealing menus and larger buttons for use on a touchscreen display. It also redesigns the interface of the main window for easy integration and use with frontends.

So in essence it retains all of the greatness of the actual iGuidance application while replacing the weaker interface designed for a PDA with a more elaborite interface for a PC.

iGmod is GPL'ed software, and comes without warrenty. The author is not responsible for your use of the software or consequences that arrise from use of the software.

Major Features:
- Zoomed in touchscreen friendly displays for iGuidance indicators, such as speed and distance to next turn
- Support for user defined skins, includes a skin editor for making your own skins
- Allows next turn information for iGuidance to be displayed when iGuidance is not visible (if you are looking at the music menu on your Front End)
- 95% of iGuidance is reskinned, including the POI interface
- Supports road runner ZOTS skin buttons (Road Runner skins can send commands to iGmod)
- Fully customizable, lots of options to tweak

Basic Requirements:
Of course, you need iGuidance to run it. Currently fully supported versions are 2.1 NA, 2.1.1NA, 2.1.2NA. Support for 2.1.3 and European versions expected soon. You will also need a computer with a video card cappable of supporting the 5 or 10 MB of video ram used by the skins in the app, and a computer cappable of handling the program's constant querying of the contents of the computer display. I would say minimum system specs are a 533 MHZ processor with 256 MB of ram, however I personally run iGmod on lower end equipment than this. Also, iGmod has been tested to work standalone, within Centrafuse, and within Road Runner, however other frontends may work.

Directions:
Download iGmod and extract it to a folder, and run the install script in that folder. Install will copy and register important system libraries, and invoke the configuration tool. Walk through the configuration tool and read EVERY button presented to you to see if you need to use it. For example, if you miss the "modify RR skin" button (it's flashing, so you shouldn't miss it) your RR skins will be extremely unresponsive when working with iGmod.

Remember to use the window name "--iGmod Reloaded--" for your frontend's window name paramater. Simply "iGmod" won't work.

More directions on usage and instalation of iGmod, along with screenshots of what each action is and does, can be found here:

Skin Editor:
iGmod comes with a skin editor that is designed to make basic edits of skin design/action easy to acomplish, and can also help you design a completley custom interface into iGuidance. For more information, follow this url. I invite everybody to design skins for their frontend or car, any skins that you make I will touch up and add to future iGmod Releases.
